Artist's Comments

An original story of mine... one which I really don't feel like explaining right now. Anyway, this picture wasn't going to be for that story... but for some reason it just turned out that way. ^^; Funny how things work huh?

I really tried my hardest with this one. (Basically meaning I took my time on it). I wanted to do a Prisma color picture that I was really proud of... There are some things I would change... but all in all I am pretty happy with it. The stupid background was starting to irritate me though...

Let's see.... I think I have been working on this one for about a month... and I just haven't had much time for it since I moved yet again. Now that we are all settled in though and school is almost finished... I think I will be able to have more time for projects like this one. :)

I am not sure if anyone really notices... but I really prefer advanced critiques on all of my original works... (Needless to say I am not as attached to my fan art pieces as I am my originals) so I really welcome any advice anyone can give. If not... that's for looking at my work. ^^

Maybe some other time I will post the poem that goes with it... for now... enjoy the picture.

Materials - 8 1/2"x11" Computer paper, mechanical pencil, black ink pen, and Prisma colored pencils

I love that purple aura (I can't remember what it's actually called) in the bg. great shading, too!

Very nice coloring and shading. An interesting concept too. Without knowing just what is going on, I have to say if it was me getting my face gouged, I would have a more horrified/ scared expression than the character with the white hair has. Maybe he is under a spell and submitting, or maybe he enjoys it... who knows. That what makes it intersting. The life force or spirit exiting through his mouth is just another piece to the puzzle. Very well done. :clap:

I kinda like your background. It kinda gives off this loneliness to the picture. Anyway, in my opinion you should've put the boy in a more fear like state...unless you weren't going for that....a hypnotic state would look pretty cool too!

wow, when i saw it in thumbnail view i said "whoa! i didn't now seifer sama did cg work" so i clicked on it, and i found it wasn't. this is really wel ldone, i like how light the hand is in comparison to the whole picture. the smoothness is truly an inspiration to me, pencil crayon wise. Awesome job once again.

Wow. Just wow. It makes me so happy inside to know that people can do stuff like that with Prismacolors ('cause I sure as hell haven't figured out how to do that yet XD). Your use of color is astounding; everything is so well blended. My only gripes are a few minor anatomical things: his eyebrow's strange length, and the curve of his nose and the flatness of his forehead. Other than that, beautiful piece. Very well done!

It looks really good and the background is better than anything i could do
The randomly floating red hair seems a bit weird but it makes the picture interesting

Very nice work! I know you do better than me when it comes to coloring with prismas. Looking at it a bit closer, I do have to say that the thumb at the guy's cheek kinda annoys me. I don't know why exactly, it just looks quite awkward in my opinion. That and I think the thumbs could be a little bit thicker, not too much, just a bit. Still a lovely piece of art! :clap: bravo! >^^< nya!
