I actually had the idea for the picture drawn about a year or two ago... and just never had time to complete it. But a few days ago a friend of mine's daughter wanted a Haku picture (He is her favorite character) so I figured it might be a good opportunity to get my lazy butt in gear and finish the picture I started. Also I got tired of working on my school art project... it was nice to switch gears and work on something a little more my style.
Heh heh... I don't think I will be drawing another dragon for a long while. I have always had trouble drawing dragons... at least Haku in his dragon form turned out decent... My last attempt at a dragon was a complete failure... Nice to know I am improving. One thing I will say though is that I was really pleased with the background... yes I know it's a solid color... but hey I never do that... and I think it really suits the picture. ^^
Surprisingly enough... this picture didn't take me as long as I thought it would. I had it drawn out a few days ago and then just started coloring it this afternoon.
Materials - 8 1/2"x11" Computer paper, mechanical pencil, black ink pen, and Prisma colored pencils (I am getting attached to these pencils...)
fwee, I just managed to watch that the other day heh heh, I gotta get a non american version so I can watch it (dern shop tricking me into buying a copy that don't work in UK VCR's)
Oh yea...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
